Our mission

Honest diagnosis. Best value. Knowledge shared openly.

Electric Vehicle Technologies Unlimited provides bench-level service for hybrid traction batteries. Much of the information about how these packs work and fail is not widely shared. EVTU takes the opposite approach: findings are reported plainly, only work that makes sense is recommended, and the reasoning is explained to every customer. If a pack cannot be recovered, the customer is told so directly.

Service scope

Hybrid packs only

EVTU services hybrid traction batteries built from removable modules that can be taken out of the vehicle for bench work. Hyundai & Kia hybrids and more.

No full EVs

EVTU does not service full battery-electric vehicles or floor-mounted EV packs. Our focus is bench, meter and oscilloscope diagnostics.

Diagnosis first

Module-by-module voltage checks tell us whether a pack is low, out of balance, or has a failing cell before you spend money.

Case study

Vehicle: Hyundai/Kia hybrid, out of service for approximately 1.5 years.
Condition: traction battery would not accept a charge; module voltages had fallen below the level the battery management system (BMS) will accept.
Service: pack removed and isolated; all 9 modules (approx. 30 V each, approx. 270 V pack, EST) recovered and balanced individually on the bench; voltages documented before and after.
Result: pack reinstalled; vehicle charges and operates normally.

Our standards

  • Honest diagnosis: every pack is tested before any recommendation is made.
  • Best value: repair at the module or cell level when that is the sound choice, instead of defaulting to a full replacement.
  • Transparent knowledge: customers receive a plain-language explanation of what was found and why.
  • Documented QC: every module is measured and recorded before and after service.

Our technicians are backed by decades of high-voltage substation and industrial controls (SCADA) experience.

Hybrid pack isolated for bench service
Safety first: Hybrid traction batteries carry dangerous high voltage. They should only be opened by trained technicians. Every pack is diagnosed first, and not every pack can be saved.
